Points
|
Points are one of Torn City's currencies. They can be used for a number of things, from faction upgrades to extending your loan from Tim.
Earning
The main way of getting points is by donating. Every $5 Donator pack will get you 50 points. A lot of players donate just so they can sell points at the points market for TC $.
However you can also get points for supporting Torn City's sponsors by voting on Apex web gaming, you will find a link on your tc home page.
Some holidays will also provide you with the chance for earning 50 points by attacking an NPC - Like the giant pumpkin. Also by entering torn city competitions such as Mr and Miss torn you earn points for entering
Using
You can find a link in the city to the points building, which gives you most of ways you can use points. However factions will need to use points to get better armories - see the faction section for more information.
Refill energy bar - Cost: 25 points
Get your energy bar back to maximum energy, make sure you do this when you have 0 energy.
$100 in cash - Cost: 1 point per $100
A useless option as points can be sold in the points market for a lot more than this.
A $5 donator pack - Cost: 100 points per $5 donator pack
Also not used much, people are often willing to donate $5 for you if you give them enough cash. Usually works out a lot cheaper to do this than waste 100 points.
Stock Ticker - Cost: 20 points
Want to play stocks? You'll need one of these, its a one time cost.
10 Stock tickets - Cost: 1 point
Seen as you get stock tickets every day you will rarely need to swap points for them. Might be useful if you use too many tickets buying, and need to sell to avoid loss of cash.
A display cabinet - Cost: 100 points
A display cabinet doesn't do much, just lets others see what you have in it. Rare items, things for sale, there have been many reasons players have used it.
One merit - Cost: 500 points
Its better to earn merits through crimes and etc.
A gas can - Cost: 100 points
Want to burn down a place for some insurance money? You'll need one of these first.
Upgrade max loan - Cost: 100 points
When you hit level ten you will get a 100k loan available from Tim. You can upgrade this up to 9 times to make a possible loan of $1,000,000. Each time you upgrade you will be able to loan another 100k at a time.
A Laptop - Cost: 25 points
You can use it on the long travels to check your mail and how things are going at home. |
